Relieving Stress
After a funeral or cremation service, it's common that you'd experience feelings of stress while grieving. If you're looking for ways to combat it, read on!

Rest
Losing someone important in your life can be absolutely devastating. Along with the feelings of grief that you are sure to experience at one point or another comes feelings of heavy stress. This stress can lead to a lot of consequences including feeling idle, unmotivated, and even debilitated. If you have been noticing ill effects due to the stress in your life, it is time to make a change. One of the simplest things that you can do to combat some of the stress that you are experiencing is to rest. You must not only rest your body but your mind as well. This means that you should aim to give yourself as much time by yourself as you need in order to properly process your emotions and feelings. While this may seem counterintuitive, we do not mean that you should try to isolate yourself from others permanently. While prolonged isolation should be avoided at all costs, there is absolutely nothing wrong with giving yourself some space in the beginning of the grieving process to really understand your feelings as well as your new reality. It should be noted that any people make the mistake of jumping into work or projects as a way to keep themselves distracted and unaware of the stress that they are experiencing. While this may work to temporarily help you forget about your stress, it is only a temporary solution, and not one that is very effective. Instead, we recommend giving yourself time to rest your mind and body while reevaluating your new reality.
Welcome Help
Many people make the mistake of pushing people away from them during times of stress and grieving. While it may seem like the best decision at the time, there is never any benefit in pushing people away. Instead, we recommend welcoming all of the help that you can get in order to receive as much emotional support as you possibly can. Whether it seems like it at the time or not, being around others during difficult times is a great way to allow yourself to begin opening up and being vulnerable with other. Eventually, doing so will lead to feelings of lower stress in your life which is always a plus!
Hobby
Finding a new hobby to occupy you is a healthy and effective way at trying to move forward during a difficult time.
