VIVIAN JEANEAN POLLOCK

November 29, 1932- February 26, 2026

Vivian Jeanean Stewart Pollock went to be with our Lord on February 26, 2026. Jeanean was born in Weslaco, Texas at her grandmother's home on November 29, 1932. She was married to the love of her life, Keith Beall Pollock, on July 15, 1949 until the time of his death in 1994.

Jeanean had an idyllic childhood growing up in Hargill, Texas next door to her church, The First Baptist Church of Hargill, which was built about ten years before her birth and where her parents owned the local hardware store, Roy’s Drug and Hardware and Roy’s Lumberyard. Her mother taught English later in life in Edcouch-Elsa and in Edinburg. Jeanean attended Edinburg High School where she was a cheerleader and was voted “Most Beautiful” every year. Jeanean and Keith reared six children in Edinburg where they were members of The First Baptist Church of Edinburg. She earned her Bachelor of Arts with a major in Art and a minor in Business at Pan American University while her youngest children were finishing elementary school and junior high. She became a realtor at BIC Realty and later she earned a teaching certificate and taught 5th grade and special education in Mission and Alton. She fulfilled her dream to become a broker and opened Jeanean Pollock Realty in her early seventies.

Jeanean was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was a fine Christian woman and taught her family right from wrong and to love the Lord Jesus Christ with “all your heart, mind and soul.” She loved people and was loved by everyone who knew her. She loved to tell stories of her childhood and about the other families from Hargill. She also loved to write letters that told the history of Hargill, her childhood, and the people she grew up with, and this was one way she kept up with friends and family. Her letters were always entertaining and uplifting. She exhibited kindness to everyone with never a harsh word for anyone. She had a big sense of humor and was often the life of the party, telling her stories and making everyone laugh. She was a fierce defender of her children but always a realist when it came to their faults, often laughing about their mishaps.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Marjorie Eleanor Crossley Stewart Willis and Roy Wesley Stewart, her son, Roy Pollock (Cathy) and daughter, Rita Pollock Lawson Sprabary (Jeff) and one granddaughter, Sydney Leigh Armer. She is survived by her beloved sister, Barbara Stewart Mueller, her sister-in-law, Margie Haley Pollock (Max) and her four living children: Jack Pollock, Melanie Pollock Glasper (Curtis), Penny Pollock Armer (Steven), Hoyt Pollock and by Louann Osment, Jennifer White, Chuck Lawson and Michael Rucker.

Jeanean leaves behind fifteen grandchildren and their spouses: Charity Rodriguez (Joe), Keith Pollock (Natalie), Bethany Bachmann (Daniel), Heidi Rucker, Jack Lawson (Bonnie), Zachary Pollock (Jordan), LeeAnn Pollock, MacKenzie Pollock, Natalie Glasper, Madeline Glasper, Madison Armer, Max Armer, Macy Armer, Jacob Pollock and Hannah Thate (Jacob).

Her surviving thirteen great grandchildren are: Matthew Rodriguez (Brandi), Destiny Rodriguez Kappelmann (Jonathan), Josiah Rodriguez, Kade Pollock, Hunter Pollock, Reagan Pollock, Emilia Rucker, Brody Rucker, Finley Lawson, Oliver Lawson, Eleanor Lawson, Remy Pollock and Naomi Thate. Her surviving four great great grandchildren are: Imri Rodriguez, Ariya Kappelmann, Boston Kappelmann, Wrenley Kappelman, and one on the way. She also leaves behind her beloved nieces: Kathy Bencomo Mueller, Yvonne De La Vina (Rick), Yvette Rodriguez (Alex), Kellye Ortega (Sal), Sandy Pollock and nephew, John Mueller plus numerous great nieces and great nephews.
