SANTOS VILLEGAS
PHARR - Santos Villegas, 71, died Thursday, December 29, 2011, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.
Born in Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas, Mexico, Mr. Villegas lived in Pharr all of his life.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Elvira Villegas; and a grandson, Lil Angel Ortega.
Mr. Villegas is survived by six children, Liz (Robert) Martinez, Gilbert (Ana) Villegas, Esmer Flores, all of Pharr, Becky (Joe) De La Fuente, Santos (Liza) Villegas, both of McAllen, Monica (Sergio) Ortega, of San Juan; 18 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Roberto (Petra) Villegas and Jesus Villegas, both of Pharr; two sisters, Martha (Jesus) Lopez, of Alamo and Josefina Moreno, of Mexico.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Monday, January 2, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2012, at St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
