CONCEPCION VILLARREAL
SAN MANUEL- Concepcion Villarreal, 85, went home to be with our Lord on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Amara Hospice in Edinburg.
Born in Brownsville, she was raised in the Los Fresnos-San Benito area.
Mrs. Villarreal was an educator with San Benito I.S.D. at Fred Booth Elementary for four years and with Edinburg C. I. S.D. at Brewster School for 24 years.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jesus L. Villarreal Jr.; Parents, Manuel and Josefa Colchado; siblings, Gloria, Edmundo Moises, and Isaias Colchado.
She is survived by two sons, Jesus L. “Leo” (Diane) Villarreal III and Manuel Antonio “Toy” (Lisa) Villarreal; two daughters, Josefa L. “Jolee” (Cody) Colchado, and Julieta L. “Lisa”(Kerry) Smith; grandchildren: Jeani, TJ, Leito, Tabatha, Cody, Sara, Monique, Stephanie and Stephen; great-granddaughters: Haley, Jocelyn and Mallory; Siblings: Cododac (Lupita) Colchado and Soledad (Jose) Gonzalez; sisters-in-law: Cecilia Colchado, Irma Vallejo, Mary Villarreal; brother-in-law, Rodolfo Torres. Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Friday, May 25, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 2018, at St. Anne Catholic Church in San Manuel. Interment will follow at Chapa Cemetery in San Manuel.
The family would like to thank the 2nd Floor ICU staff and the Neuro ICU Staff at DHR, as well as the staff at Amara Hospice. Also, we would like to thank Dr. Hector Urrutia and his staff at Heart Institute at Renaissance.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
