EDINBURG - Maria "Chepa" Vera, 68, went home to our Lord Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Edcouch, TX, Mrs. Vera had lived in Edinburg most of her life.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Eva Gomez; and a brother, Gabriel Gomez.
Mrs. Vera is survived by her loving husband, Antonio Vera of Edinburg; two sons, Marco (Veronica) Vera, Orlando Adrian (Patricia) Vera, both of Edinburg; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; seven siblings, Irma Gomez, Francisco Gomez, both of Weslaco, Sulema Gomez of Edcouch, Rafael Gomez of Edinburg, Isabel Gomez, Dieanna Gomez, Adan Gomez, all of Edcouch.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, April 6, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
