CONSUELO VERA SAN JUAN — Consuelo Vera, 83, died Friday, March 15, 2013, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. Born in Sinton, Mrs. Vera had lived in San Juan most of her life. She is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Vera; her parents, Francisco and Adela Borrego; two sons, Daniel Vera Jr. and Arturo Vera; and six brothers. Mrs. Vera is survived by eight children, Maria (Guadalupe) Ramos, of San Juan, Yolanda (Homer) Alafa, Silvia Ramirez, both of Edinburg, Olga (Raul) Zavala, of McAllen, Ruben (Sandra) Vera, Rogelio Vera, Rodolfo (Sylvia) Vera, all of San Juan, Ricardo (Ysenia) Vera, of Pharr; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; five brothers; and five sisters. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, March 17, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
