ALAMO - Cecilia "Mrs. T." Turrubiartez, 90, died Thursday, October 4, 2011, at Weslaco Nursing and Rehab.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bruno Turrubiartez; a granddaughter, Sandra Lynn Heiman; her parents, Adolfo and Maria De Jesus Valdez; four brothers, Adolfo Valdez, Jr., Casimiro Valdez, Eliseo Valdez, Emilio Valdez; three sisters, Marcelina Yarrito, Elena Sanchez, and Albesa (Bessie) Templeton.
Mrs. Turrubiartez is survived by three daughters, Damiana T. Rodriquez, Dominga (Paul) Duncan, Juanita T. (Alvaro) Gonzales; seven grandchildren, Linda Madlock, Cristine Martinez, Lisa Rivard, Louri Kuhr, Robert Clarke, Jude Rodriguez, and Alvaro Gonzales, Jr.; 26 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Margarito Valdez, John Valdez; and one sister, Felicia Valdez.
Visitation will be held today, Wednesday, October 5, 2011, from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 6, 2011, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo, interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
