JUAN ANGEL TREVINO
SAN JUAN/McALLEN – Juan Angel Trevino, 91, died Thursday, November 5, 2009, at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco.
Born in La Grulla, Mr. Trevino had lived in San Juan since 1994 and had previously lived in McAllen for 50 years. He was self-employed and was an active member of Basilica of Our Lady of San Juan Del Valle National Shrine in San Juan.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Clara Trevino.
Mr. Trevino is survived by five children, Evan Ernan Trevino, of Costa Rica, Diana (Cal) Barrientos, of Houston, Texas, John (Elvira) Trevino, of Donna, Yolanda Marie Trevino, of Alamo, Mike (Mary) Trevino, of Edinburg; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Mike Trevino, of Houston, Texas; and a sister, Victoria Nelson, of Baldwin Park, California.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm rosary today, November 9, 2009, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 2 pm Tuesday, November 10, 2009, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
