Antonio "Coach Tony" Trejo

January 6, 1955 — July 25, 2022

Antonio "Coach Tony" Trejo, 67, entered eternal rest Monday, July 25, 2022, at his residence, surrounded by his family.
Mr. Trejo was a lifelong resident of Edinburg and was a former track coach at McAllen ISD and City of McAllen. Coach Tony Trejo "The Legend" greatly impacted the youth of the Rio Grande Valley. His words will continue to resonate throughout the RGV. To Coach Trejo, it did not matter what color of uniform you wore or what team you were from, his passion was for all kids to excel in the sport he loved. He will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched and remembered for his generosity and good will. The family would like to thank everyone for their outpouring of prayers, love and support.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Adelina Sosa Trejo; his parents, Aguedo and Dominga Trejo; three brothers, Jesus Trejo, Guadalupe "Walle" Trejo, Gilbert Trejo; and a sister, Eulalia "Lali" T. Ibarra.
