ERIC TORRES SAN JUAN — Eric Torres, 22, died Saturday, December 14, 2013, in Huntsville, Texas. Born in Laredo, Eric had lived in San Juan most of his life and was attending Sam Houston State University in Huntsville. He is preceded in death by his father, Ricardo Torres. Eric is survived by his mother, Martha B. Torres; stepfather, Fernando De Luna; two sisters, Johanna Jazmin Torres and Mariafernanda De Luna; paternal grandmother, Marilu Torres; maternal grandmother, Rosina Rodriguez; and his girlfriend, Melinda Joy Alvarez. Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, December 16, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Cremation will take place at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
