TORIBIO VELAZQUEZ
SAN JUAN – Toribio Velazquez, 68, passed away Monday, June 15, 2026, at South Texas Health System in Edinburg.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Francisco Velazquez and Natalia Gonzalez; three siblings, Evangelina Salinas, Bertha Flores, and Joe Velazquez.
Mr. Velazquez is survived by his wife, Aida T. Velazquez; two children, Marilyn (Barac) Garcia, Jorge A. Velazquez; four grandchildren, Bellavani Garcia, Matthew Garcia, Nathan Garcia, Jeremy Garcia; nine siblings, Tiburcio Velazquez, Thomas Velazquez, Natalia Velazquez, Frances Velazquez, Juan Velazquez, Jesus Velazquez, Jose Julian Velazquez, Francisco Velazquez, and Benito Velazquez.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. prayer service Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
