Toraldo C. "TC" Perez Jr.

Alamo – Toraldo C. “TC” Perez Jr., 90, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at his residence in Alamo.

Toraldo Casimiro “TC” Perez Jr. lived a long and accomplished life, one filled with hard work, service, family, and countless memories. He was proud of the life he built and of the many accomplishments he achieved throughout the years.

TC proudly served his country for four years in the United States Army and National Guard. During his time of service, he graduated from Southern Signal School while attending the United States Armed Forces Institute. His passion and talent for electronics also earned him first, second, and third-place VICA awards in Electronics Servicing.

TC dedicated 29 years of his career to Texas State Technical College, where he served as an Assistant Professor of Technical Education with a Master Ranking. Throughout his career, he held numerous leadership positions, including Chairman of the Radio and Television Programs and Chairman of the Electronics Servicing Program. He also served as President of the Texas Employee Association Chapter 202, Legislative Representative for Chapter 202, and Chairman of the Teacher Welfare Committee.

His dedication extended beyond his career and into the community he loved. TC was proud to call Alamo home and remained actively involved in helping his city grow. He served as Chairman of the Alamo Housing Authority and as a committee member of the Planning and Zoning Board for the City of Alamo. He was also the proud owner of Alamo Business Corner and, alongside his sons Martin “Rocky” Perez and Jorge Perez, helped develop Plumosa Village Subdivision in Alamo.

As proud as TC was of his many accomplishments, some of his happiest moments were the simple ones spent outdoors and surrounded by family. He was a lifelong outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and spending time at the family’s Historic La Mulada Ranch. Some of his favorite memories were made there—barbecuing, sitting around a campfire, and enjoying cold hunting-season nights with the people he loved.

Anyone who knew TC knew that sitting still was never really hisstyle. He always found something that needed to be done.Whether he was tending to his rental properties, repainting parking lines, sweeping a driveway, or blowing away leaves, he liked to stay busy and always made sure to get his steps in—even under the hot Texas sun. And after all that hard work, there was nothing wrong with enjoying one of his beloved sweet treats.

Above all else, TC loved his family. He was a loving and devoted father to his two sons, Rocky and Jorge, and a beloved grandfather “Coco” to Andrea, Megan, Christopher, and Allison. Nothing brought him greater happiness than being surrounded by the people he loved most. Throughout his long and blessed life, TC built much more than a successful career, businesses, and a legacy within his community. He built a lifetime of memories with the people fortunate enough to know and love him. He leaves behind a family who will remember his hardworking spirit, his love of the outdoors, his devotion to those closest to him, and all the little things that made him simply TC.

His life was full, his memories are many, and his legacy will live on through the family he loved so dearly. We were truly blessed to have him in our lives, and he will be deeply loved, greatly missed, and forever remembered.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Toraldo Casmiro and Josefa Perez Sr., son; Martin Roque Perez and two brothers; Jose Javier Perez and Juanlino Perez.

Toraldo is survived by his son; Jorge (Christina) Perez, four grandchildren; Andrea (Michael Huerta) Perez, Megan (Gerado Rivas) Perez, Christoper Perez, and Allison Perez, three great- grandchildren; Bonnie M. Huerta, Alina R. Huerta and Avery M. Rivas, and two siblings Araceli Davis and Slyvestre Beto Perez.

Memorial service will begin at 3 p.m., with a 6 p.m. prayer service Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Intermment of cremated remains will take place at 11 a.m. ,Friday, October 2, 2026, at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
