San Juan – Tomas Alonzo Jr., 86, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at Briarcliff Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in McAllen.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Tomas A. and Leonor Alonzo; siblings, Moises Alonzo, Inocencia A. Acuna, Marin Alonzo, Esteban Alonzo, Dimas Alonzo, Marcela Alonzo, Narciso Alonzo and his son Tommy Glenn.
Tomas is survived by his wife, Flora Alonzo; children, Martha A Perez, Marcela A Trevino, Martin Antonio Quintero, Ricardo Alonzo, Enedelia A. Valdez and one sister, Marina Alonzo Gallegos, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m., with a 6 p.m. prayer service Sunday, November 8, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, November 9, 2026, at First Baptist Church in San Juan. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
