JUAN S. TIJERINA
McALLEN - Juan S. Tijerina, 60, died Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at his residence in McAllen.
Born in Raymondville, Texas, Mr. Tijerina had lived in McAllen all of his life. He was a member of San Juan Diego Catholic Church in McAllen.
Mr. Tijerina is survived by his wife, Alicia Tijerina; a son, Juan (Amada) Tijerina, Jr., both of McAllen; two daughters, Janis (Peter) Tijerina of McAllen and Joanne (Jose) Benavides of Pharr; nine grandchildren, Juan III, Ramon, Diego, Timothy, Christopher, Janelle, Kaitlyn, Daniela and Mariana; three brothers, Abelardo Tijerina of Snyder, Texas, Antonio Tijerina and Guadalupe Tijerina, both of Mission; and two sisters, Abelina Arguijo of McAllen and Aracely Guerra of Snyder, Texas.
Visitation will be held from 12 noon to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary, today, July 8, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, July 9, 2009 at San Juan Diego Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at La Piedad Cemetery in McAllen.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
