Teresita Sanchez Andrade of San Juan, 52, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen, Texas. Her passing leaves a deep emptiness in the hearts of all who knew and loved her, but her beautiful spirit, strong faith, and countless memories will remain with us forever.
Teresita, lovingly known as "Terri" was preceded in death by her beloved father Jesus T.Sanchez, Jr. and younger brother Luis Omar Sanchez.
Terri is survived by her husband, Ricardo Andrade; mother, Alicia M. Sanchez; four siblings, Jesus J. (Margaret) Sanchez of San Antonio, Roel (Rachel) Sanchez of San Antonio, Celina (Robert) Livingston of McAllen, Amanda Sanchez of San Juan; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins who will forever treasure the love and joy she brought into their lives.
Terri lived her life with a strong will, a generous heart, and an unwavering willingness to help anyone in need. Her Catholic faith was at the very center of her life. Terri had a special gift for evangelizing and sharing the Word of God with others. Her faith in the Virgin Mary was unshakable, and the rosary was a treasured part of her spiritual life. Her favorite saying,"Jesus, I trust in You," reflected the deep trust and devotion that guided her through life. She also lovingly served children through C.C.D. Catholic classes as part of the Children's Ministry, teaching them about the Catholic faith and helping plant seeds of faith in young hearts.
Terri had a creative and curious spirit. She found joy in cooking, arts and crafts, reading, and had a talent for writing. She was also fun-spirited and full of life. Her laughter, her energy, and her ability to make others smile made every gathering brighter.
Her beloved dogs, Pollita and Zoe, held a very special place in her heart. A devoted dog mom, Terri cherished their companionship and the unconditional love they shared. They were her constant companions and a precious part of her everyday life.
Terri's life was a testament to faith, family, compassion, and perseverance through the most difficult times. She never hesitated to extend a helping hand, offer encouragement, or remind those around her to remain strong and faithful. Though her time with us was far too short, the love she gave so freely will continue to live on in everyone she touched.
We will miss Terri more than words can express. May she rest peacefully in the loving arms of Jesus and the Blessed Virgin Mary, whom she trusted and loved so deeply.
"Jesus, I trust in You."
Rest in eternal peace, Terri. You will forever remain in our hearts, and your light will continue to shine through all those who were blessed to know you.
