Alamo—Teresa Ortega, 73, passed away Monday, August 10, 2026, at South Texas Health System McAllen.
She is preceded in death by her infant daughter, Claudia Ortega; parents, Pablo and Ninfa De La Fuente; and a sister Lala De La Fuente.
Teresa is survived by her husband, Domingo Ortega; three sons, Domingo Ortega Jr., Edgar (Briana) Ortega, Jovanny Ortega; three grandchildren; Clarissa Araguz, Edgar Ortega Jr., Claudia Sophia Ortega; and five siblings Martha Barbosa, Imelda Bernal, Raquel Salinas, Bellanira De La Fuente and Pablo Del La Fuente.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place 9 a.m. Friday, August 14,2026 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
