RIGOBERTO “RIGO” TAMAYO
EDINBURG – Rigoberto “Rigo” Tamayo, 64, died Thursday, August 6, 2009, at his residence in Edinburg.
Mr. Tamayo was born in Edinburg and had lived there all of his life. He was a member of Templo Bethel in Edinburg.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Victoria Salazar Tamayo.
Mr. Tamayo is survived by his wife, Elva Morin Tamayo; three children, Norma Liza (Albert) Azua, Rigoberto Tamayo, Jr., Lyria Tamayo Garcia, all from Edinburg; eight grandchildren, Anneleise Victoria, Alberto Jr. “AJ”, Abigail and Andrew Azua, Darius Tamayo, Jacob, Sierra and Ricardo Jr. Garcia; and two sisters, Yolanda De La Vina and Soledad Guzman, both from Edinburg.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm prayer service today, August 7, 2009, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton, in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 am Saturday, August 8, 2009, at Templo Bethel, corner of Kuhn and 21st Street in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
