LA BLANCA – Jose Pablo Surita, Sr., 67, died Friday, February 16, 2018, at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco.
Born in Elsa, Mr. Surita had lived in La Blanca most of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Celia Surita of La Blanca; five children, Hilda Margarita (Gregorio) Hilario of Edinburg, Jose Pablo (Melissa) Zurita Jr. of La Blanca, Luis (Elida) Zurita of Mission, Juan Carlos (Maggie) Surita of Edinburg, Edna Surita of La Blanca; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Sunday, February 18, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, February 19, 2018, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in San Carlos. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
