CORINA A. SUAREZ PHARR – Corina A. Suarez, 73, died Thursday, January 22, 2015, at Life Care Hospital in McAllen. She is preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Angelica Avila. Mrs. Suarez is survived by her husband, Alberto Suarez of Pharr; six children, Luis Alberto (Elvira) Suarez of Edinburg, Alfredo Suarez of Pharr, Esmeralda (Julian) Garza, Nellie (Carl) Lopez, Alejandrina (Roy) Telles, all of Weslaco, Corina (Luis) Ortiz of McAllen; 18 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Leonel Avila, Sr. of California, Francisco R. Avila of Pharr; and two sisters, Armandina Garza, and Adelaida Torres, both of Pharr. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary Sunday, January 25, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Monday, January 26, 2015, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
