SILVESTRE VARGAS JR.

EDINBURG – Silvestre Vargas Jr., 68, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2023, at McAllen Medical Center.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Silvestre and Maria Vargas Sr.; brother, Trinidad (Estella) Vargas; and brother-in-law, Macario Narvaez.

Mr. Vargas is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Vargas; a daughter, Ines (Amado) Menez; two grandchildren, Jacqueline Abigail Menez, Juliette Alexandra Menez; four siblings, Horacio (Olga) Vargas, Avisae (Maria) Vargas, Procopio (Luz Maria) Vargas, and Maria Elena (+Macario) Narvaez.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. prayer service Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 12 noon Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
