Alamo– Sebastian Ortega, 21, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2026, in Falfurrias, Texas.
Sebastian is survived by his loving mother, Ana Cano; his two siblings, Xenia (Marcos) Villarreal and Dante Omar (Fransesca) Ruiz; eight nieces and nephews; Marcos Villarreal Jr., Matthew Villarreal, Maria Magdalena Villarreal, Dante Omar Ruiz Jr., Aidan Ruiz, Genisa Renay De La Rosa, and Nyla Rae Felan, six aunts and uncles; Maria De Jesus Cano Gonzalez, Julia Cano Gonzalez, Rosa Maria Cano Gonzalez, Jose Refugio Cano Gonzalez, Jorge Cano Gonzalez, Luis Cano Gonzalez and seven cousins; Aura Vanessa Olivo Cano, Israel Eduardo Olivo Cano, Tania Espinoza Cano, Daniel Espinoza Cano, Leslie Karina Espinoza Cano, Daniel Espinoza Cano, Gustavo Salas Cano.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Thursday, October 29, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m., Friday October 30, 2026, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in San Juan. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
