JOSE MARCOS SAUCEDO, SR.
EDINBURG - Jose Marcos Saucedo, Sr., 95, died Sunday, June 14, 2009 at Solara Hospital in Edinburg.
Born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, Mr. Saucedo had lived in Edinburg most of his life and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Margarita Saucedo; his parents, Refugio and Maria Concepcion Saucedo; and a brother, Alejandro Saucedo.
Mr. Saucedo is survived by five sons, Jesus (Isabel) Saucedo of Killeen, Texas, Jose M. (Norma) Saucedo, Jr., Francisco (Blanca) Saucedo, both of Edinburg, Jose (Concepcion) Saucedo of Amarillo, Texas and Manuel Saucedo of Mission; six daughters, Sabina (Erasmo) Garza of McAllen, Juanita Garcia, Guadalupe (Eligio) Lopez, Maria (Jose) Compean, all of Edinburg, Lucita Orozco of Albertville, Alabama and Elisa (Daniel) Garcia of Burk, Virginia; 36 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Sabino Saucedo of Veracruz, Mexico; and five sisters, Clemencia Saucedo of Rucio Blanco, Tamps., Mexico, Margarita Guzman of Mission, Juana Saucedo of Comales, Tamps., Mexico, Esperanza Herrera and Irene Herrera, both of Rochelle, Illinois.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary, today, June 16, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
