ABELARDO SANTANA
EDINBURG – Abelardo Santana, 70, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Barragon Santana; parents, Francisco Santana and Aguedita Gamboa; two brothers, Daniel Santana and Stephen Santana; and a sister, Aurora Santana.
Mr. Santana is survived by his four children, Norma Flores, Abelardo Santana Jr., Rodolfo Santana, Idalia Santana; step-children, Erica Lee Lara, Melissa Lara Trevino, Jorge Lara, Veronica Lara; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; six siblings, Aniceto Santana, Domingo Santana, Francisca Velasquez, Ernesto Santana, Maria Santana Cantu, and Martin Santana.
Funeral mass will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, September 16, 2022, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment of cremated remains take place at 1 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2022, at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
