EDINBURG – Salvador Mata, 69, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at DHR Health Hospice in Edinburg.
He is preceded in death by his father, Francisco Mata; and a brother, Felix (Belinda) Mata.
Salvador is survived by his wife, Herlinda Mata; son, Daniel (Sandra Ramos) Mata; granddaughter, Kateleya Danielle Mata; mother, Rosa Mata; and five siblings; Francisco (Armandina) Mata, George (Noemi) Mata, Sabino (Gloria) Mata, Ramon (Mary) Mata and Carmen (Victor) Cantu.
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Sunday, October 25, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral Service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, October 26, 2026, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg.Cremation will follow at Memorial Cremation Center in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
