ALBERTO "BETO" SALINAS EDINBURG — Alberto "Beto" Salinas, 83, died Sunday, September 8, 2013, at McAllen Medical Center. Mr. Salinas had lived in Edinburg all of his life. He is preceded in death by a sister, Maria Santos Ramos. Alberto is survived by his wife, Gila Salinas of Edinburg; three sons, Jose Alberto (Martina) Salinas of Edinburg, Arnold (Adriana) Salinas of Mission, Agapito (Maria Luisa) Salinas of Edinburg; four daughters, Maria Arcelia (Santos) Rodriguez, Maria Adela (Juan Jose) Gonzales, Maria Aracelia Hernandez, all of Edinburg, Aurora (Esmeralda) Salinas of Mission; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Luz D. Ramos. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, September 10, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
