JESSE RUIZ SAN JUAN – Jesse Ruiz, 86, died Friday, January 2, 2015, at Weslaco Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in San Antonio, he had lived in San Juan for 30 years and was formerly of Berrien Springs, Michigan. Mr. Ruiz is survived by four children, Jesse Ruiz, of Pleasanton, TX, Jimmy Ruiz, of Selma, TX, Jerry Ruiz, of High Springs, FL, Janie (Cecilio) Rodriguez, of San Juan; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Santoyo, of Leming, TX; and his former spouse, Maria Ruiz, of Pleasanton, TX. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Janaury 5, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. A memorial service will take place in San Antonio, Texas at a later date. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
