Ruben Hinojosa, 86, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Windsor Arbor View in Edinburg.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Hinojosa; a daughter, Carla Badillo; a grandson, Mario Badillo; parents, Juvencio and Deorica Hinojosa; and a sister, Hilda Nickels.
Mr. Hinojosa is survived by his five children, Ruben Hinojosa Jr., Criselda Hernandez, Alfonso Hinojosa, Graciela Hinojosa, Ricardo Hinojosa; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Otila Hinojosa, Irma Rodriguez, Irene Mercado.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
