EDINBURG – Ruben Garcia Sr., 84, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Aguedo Garcia and Debelsa Gonzalez; granddaughter, Lyzza Castillo; and sister, Minerva De La Rosa.
Mr. Garcia is survived by his wife, Gloria Rodriguez Garcia; three children, Elvia Garcia (Jimmy Jack) Jones, Yolanda Garcia (Mark) Leverman, Ruben (Olivia) Garcia Jr.; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sibling, Irma Courteener, Lydia Salinas, and Rachel Requenez.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Sunday, July 30, 2023, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 9 a.m. Monday, July 31, 2023, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
