SISTER ANCILLA RODRIGUEZ ROSILES

ALAMO - Sister Ancilla Rodriguez Rosiles, 87, died Thursday, February 26, 2009 at her residence in Alamo.

She was born on June 13, 1921 in Celaya, Guanajuato, Mexico. Sister Rodriguez entered the Congregation of Missionary Eucharistic Franciscan Sisters in 1946. After her final profession, she was sent to Los Angeles, California to do her Ministry work for the unwedded mothers. Her ministry was necessary in San Antonio, Texas where she established a seamstress shop and where she did her Pastoral Work. She was then transferred to Alamo to continue her Ministry work where she lived for the past 16 years.

Sister Rodriguez is survived by eight brothers, Rev. Bishop Placido Rodriguez of Lubbock, Texas, Manuel Rodriguez, Roman Rodriguez, Diego Rodriguez, Mucio Rodriguez, Autimio Rodriguez Jr., all of Chicago, Illinois, Simon Rodriguez of Liveland, Illinois and Edmundo Rodriguez of Omaha, Nebraska.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, today, February 27, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 28, 2009 at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo.
Interment will take place at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Hillside, Illinois at a later date.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
