Edinburg- Rosa Renteria Garcia, 86, passed away Friday, September 1, 2023, at Abri at Edinburg.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Alvaro Garcia; her parents, Eugenio Ybanez and Simplicia Renteria; and several siblings.

Mrs. Garcia is survived by her eight children, Noe (Margarita) Garcia, Efrain Garcia, Veronica Garcia Perez, Esmeralda Garcia, Graciela Elizondo, Alvaro Garcia Jr., Roberto Garcia, Criselda (Roel) Garcia; 16 grandchildren, Victor Garcia, Erika Garcia, Edith Garcia, Efrain Garcia Jr., Bryan Garcia, Erica Barrera, Eddie Rodriguez, Elier Eyzaguirre, Cristina Cruz, Valerie Garcia, Alex Garcia, Joel Garcia, Robert Garcia Jr., Jessica Wilson, Jeremy Garcia, Michael Garcia; several great-grandchildren; and a sister, Josefina Renteria.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Monday, September 4, 2023, at Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 9 a.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
