Rolando Garza, 66, went to be with the Lord Thursday, October 9, 2025, at his residence in Alamo.
Rolando was a loving father and grandpa, a beloved son, and loved his siblings. Born and raised in Texas, he lived in Dallas most of his life and loved football and the Dallas Cowboys. His faithful dog, Cowboy, would join him in prayer before their meal. Roland loved Christian Spanish music. He was a great dancer and enjoyed dancing at family events. He would make you laugh always. Rolando is ever present in our hearts and will see him one beautiful fine day.
He is preceded in death by a sister, Tomasita Garza.
Mr. Garza is survived by three children, Jessica (Elias Ledezma) Garza, Joanna (Cristobal Cuello) Garza, Rolando Garza Jr.; ten grandchildren; his parents, Antonio and Valentina Garza; three siblings, Graciela Garza, Marisol Montalvo, Antonio "Tony" (Chris) Garza, Jr. ; and his beloved pet, Cowboy.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., with a 6 p.m. prayer service Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Sion del Todopoderoso in Alamo. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
