Rogelio “Roy” Garcia, age 67, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2026, in Webster, Texas.
He was born on March 20, 1958, in Edinburg, Texas. Leaving behind a legacy of hard work, generosity, and a deep love for life’s simple joys.
An agriculturist at heart, Roy found true happiness in creating and cultivating crops, taking pride in watching things grow through patience and care. The land was more than work to him it reflected his steady dedication and belief that good things flourish with time and attention.
Outside of work, Roy embraced life fully. He loved a good poker game, gambling with his brothers, and sharing laughter around the table. He never missed a chance to enjoy sports with friends and family. He had a deep appreciation for great food, beautiful cars, good music, and settled into a theater seat for a memorable movie. He especially enjoyed barbecuing, playing pool, fishing, hunting, racquetball and spending quality time with those he loved turning ordinary gatherings into moments of connection and joy. One of his favorite simple pleasures was spending a great day at Disney, soaking in the magic and happiness of the moment.
Music held a special place in his heart. During his years at Edinburg High School, he proudly participated in the marching band. Later in life, he became a devoted supporter of marching band competitions, never missing an opportunity to attend and cheer on those he loved. Whether in uniform as a young man or in the stands as a proud supporter, he showed up with the same enthusiasm and heart.
