Pedro "Pete" Rodriguez Jr.

Pedro "Pete" Rodriguez Jr., 63, entered eternal rest Saturday, January 15, 2022, at his residence in Edinburg.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Julia Rodriguez; and an infant sister, Maria Lydia Rodriguez.
Pete is survived by two brothers, Jose (Adelaida) Rodriguez of Marion, TX, Roberto V. (Lisa) Rodriguez of Temple, TX; several nieces and nephews; and many family and friends.
The fact that he didn't tell anyone about his illness says a lot about who he was as a person. He was humble, proud, and most importantly selfless and never thinking about himself first, that is how he went home to meet our Lord. "Selfless." He was always helping, advising or just lending an ear. He had a very big heart. His mom Julie is greeting him with open arms, getting that dance in.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Friday, January 21, 2022, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 12 p.m. Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
