EDINBURG – Carlota Rodriguez, 89, died September 2, 2016, at Amara Hospice in Edinburg.
Born in Seguin, Texas, Carlota lived in Edinburg most of her life.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Amancio and Octaviana Gaitan; two sons, Francisco Rodriguez, Jose Rodriguez; three daughters, Maria Eloisa Rodriguez, Maria Irene Rodriguez, Maria Elva Rodriguez
Carlota is survived by her husband, Raul Rodriguez; eight sons, Valentin (Rosa) Rodriguez, Raul (Dominga) Rodriguez, Urbano (Maria M.) Rodriguez, Amancio (Estella) Rodriguez, Ismael (Eva) Rodriguez, Eduardo (Patricia) Rodriguez, Francisco (Ofelia) Rodriguez, Eliazar (Amelia) Rodriguez; two daughters, Maria Antonia (Miguel) Mercado, Maria Elodia (Eliseo) Abrego; 35 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Simon Gaitan.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Monday, September 5, 2016 and funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in San Carlos . Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Reception will take place at Memorial Event Center in Edinburg following the funeral service.
Funeral service is under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Edinburg.
