BERTHA S. RODRIGUEZ EDINBURG - Bertha S. Rodriguez, 73, died Monday, April 20, 2015, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Rodriguez was born in Edinburg and lived there all of her life. Bertha was a loving and caring person who loved to gamble and fish. Her family was very important to her. She is preceded in death by her husband, Refugio Rodriguez; her parents, Aurelio and Ramona Salazar; three sisters; and two brothers. Bertha is survived by four children, Roy Guzman, Belinda (Jose) Zarate, both of Edinburg, Roel (Monica) Rodriguez of Mercedes, Arlene (Joe) Rodriguez of Edinburg; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Aurelio (Maria Teresa) Salazar, Jr. and Adan Salazar, both of Edinburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home , 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
