RODOLFO “MORRO” CHAPA

EDINBURG – Rodolfo “Morro” Chapa, 75, passed away Monday, January 19, 2026, in Dallas, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Rafael and Leonarda Chapa; siblings, Rafael Chapa Jr., Josefina Gomez, Arnolfo Chapa, Ricardo Chapa, Jose Guadalupe Chapa, Consuelo Aleman, Juan Manuel Chapa, Jose Luis Chapa and Thomas Chapa.

Rodolfo is survived by his wife, Felicitas Chapa; four children, Rodolfo (Elizabeth) Chapa .Jr, Daniel (Solaida Molina) Chapa, Lisset (Clifford) Washington and Dina (Tasha) Chapa; nine grandchildren, Rodolfo Chapa III, Angel Chapa, Denzel Chapa, Tiffany Chapa, Memphis Chapa, Evelyn Chapa, Lauren Washington, Jeremiah Chapa and Elijah Chapa; and three siblings, Celestina (“Lalo”) Zarate, Aurora (Shon) Ramirez and Rogelio Chapa.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. prayer service Friday, January 23, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 12 noon Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Vital Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
