PHARR – Roberto Vargas, 91, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at his residence in Pharr.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Severo and Adelaida Vargas, and five siblings; Jose Vargas, Ramon Vargas, Rosa Escobedo, Candidad Ramirez, and Maximina Delgado.
Roberto is survived by five children; Daniel, Ricardo, Severo, Roberto and Mario Jesus Vargas; 20 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Monday, September 21, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral Service will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in San Juan. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
