Roberto Gonzalez

DONNA – Roberto Gonzalez, 77, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2026, at South Texas Health System Edinburg.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Ninfa Gonzalez; parents, Manuel and Felipa Gonzalez; parents-in-law, Salvador and Maria De Jesus Hernandez; and three in-laws, Jose De Jesus Hernandez, Silvia Hernandez and San Juanita Treviño.

Roberto is survived by his two children, Robert Jr. (Monica) Gonzales and Manuel (Jessica) Gonzales; five grandchildren, Michael Gonzales, Melanie (Marvin) Turcios-Paz, Selima Gonzales, Joel Gonzales, Anaya Gonzales; two great-grandchildren, Reymond Turcios-Paz and Laylah Ray Garner; six siblings, Natividad Gonzalez, Angelita (Joaquin+) Gonzalez-Resendez, Rosalinda (Santos) Rodriguez, Irma (Jose) Saenz, Cristela (Joaquin) Sanchez, Andrea (Tony) Davila; and in laws, Alicia (Ramiro) Garza, Frank (Letty) Hernandez, Salvador (Gracie) Hernandez, Lupe(Steve) Brewer, Juana (Ronnie) Cavazos, Martin (Nora) Hernandez, Maria De Jesus Hernandez and Tony (Tila) Hernandez.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral Service will take place at 9 a.m. Thursday, September 24, 2026, at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church in Weslaco. Interment will follow at Rio Grande Valley Veterans Cemetery in Mission.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
