Maria Minerva Rivera

EDINBURG/MARSHALL, TEXAS – Maria Minerva Rivera, 76, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Heritage House and Rehabilitation Center in Marshall, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Candelario Rivera, Sr.; and parents, Alonso Alvarez and Ramona Corona.
Mrs. Rivera is survived by her two children, Candelario (Jaclyn) Joel Rivera, Jr. and Cristina (Sal) Villarreal; four grandchildren, Lauren Rivera, Kiersten Rivera, Tyler Rivera and Kennedy Rivera; three great-grandchildren, Lane Walker Gomez, Emma Nicholee Gomez, and Lucas Pounders; one sibling, Alonso Alvarez, Jr.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary today, May 15, 2022, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, May 16, 2022, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the arrangement of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
