JAVIER BERNAL RIVERA
ALAMO - Javier Bernal Rivera, 66, passed away Friday, June 23, 2017, at Retama Manor Nursing Home in Edinburg.
Born in San Juan, Mr. Rivera had lived in Alamo all of his life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Tomasa Rivera.
Javier is survived by his wife, Rosemary Rivera; 3 children, Sandro (Estrella) Rivera, Raquel (Oscar) Munoz, Sergio (Cristian) Rivera; 9 grandchildren, Angel, Lori Ann, Abby, Ashley, Jody, Arianny, Nickole Ordaz, Melody Rivera, Lian Rivera; 7 brothers, Pedro Rivera Jr., Juan Rivera, Anastacio Rivera, Fernando Rivera, Alberto Rivera, David Rivera, Rodrigo Rivera; and 5 sisters, Valentina R. Garza, Gumecinda R. Martinez, Naela R. Rivera, Veronica Rivera, Maricela R. Garza.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Monday, June 26, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 9 a.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at Sion Del Todo Poderoso in Alamo. Interment will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
