GUADALUPE RIOS
EDINBURG – Guadalupe Rios, 78, died Saturday, June 13, 2009 at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
Born in Doctor Coss, N.L., Mexico, Mr. Rios had lived in Edinburg most of his life and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg.
He is preceded in death by two sons, Guadalupe Rios, Jr. and Jose Mario Rios; his parents, Domingo and Juana Rios; and two brothers, Daniel and Jesus Rios.
Mr. Rios is survived by his wife, Consuelo Rios; a daughter, Sylvia (Mariano) Rios-Garza; four sons, Rene (Minerva) Rios, Eloy (Nora) Rios, Domingo Rios and Javier Rios, all of Edinburg; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Maria Cruz Rios and Paulita Trigo, both of Edinburg.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary, today, June 16, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Jose M. Rios Cemetery in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
