Porfirio Chavez "Red" Reyes

PORFIRIO (RED) CHAVEZ REYES EDINBURG - Porfirio "Red" Chavez Reyes, 53, died, Sunday, December 21, 2014, at St. Luke's Baptist Hospital in San Antonio. He is preceded in death by his father, Juan Reyes. Mr. Reyes is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth (Jacob) Trevino; two grandchildren, Landen Trevino and Korben Trevino; father, Hector Galvan, Sr.; mother, Elida C. Galvan all of Edinburg; nine siblings, Diana Reyes of Bryan, TX; Janie Reyes, Sandra (Felipe) Hernandez, Hector Galvan, Jr., Norma (Leo) Lopez, Elida (Luis) Gonzalez, all of Edinburg, Mike Galvan of Kansas City, MO, Alex Galvan of California, Alicia Galvan of Mercedes and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, December 23, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 24, 2014, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
