Reyes Nava

Reyes Nava, 64, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at McAllen Medical Center.
Mr. Nava was employed by Melden & Hunt, Inc. for over 41 years as an Engineering Drafting Technician.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Lourdes Nava and Guadalupe Nava.
Mr. Nava is survived by his wife, Myra Nava; his siblings, Jose Luis (Teresa) Nava, Robert (Bertha) Nava, and Juan Jose (Rebecca) Nava; three nephews, John Jacob Nava, Jeremiah David Nava, Joshua Nava; and three nieces, Rebecca Grace Cantu, Lori Nava, and Meghan Elise Nava. Thank you to the pallbearers Robert Nava, Joshua Nava, Jesus Hernandez, Marco Antonio Chavez, Ruben De Jesus, Jesus "Chuy" Cantu, and the honorary pallbearers Ciro Hernandez and Juan Vela.
The Nava family would like to express heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported them throughout this difficult journey, beginning with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Thanks to all of the doctors, nurses, therapists, technicians, and medical personnel. Thanks to Melden and Hunt, Inc. Thanks to everyone who supported Reyes and the family with their loving words of encouragement and gracious presence during his hospitalization and rehabilitation. The family has been humbled by and grateful for the cards, food, monetary gifts, acts of service, and above all, the countless prayers throughout Reyes' battle against cancer and during his rehabilitation. Finally, a very special word of thanks to Velma, Leon, and the entire staff of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan for going above and beyond in their timely preparations.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. prayer service Sunday, August 20, 2023, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, August 21, 2023, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in San Juan. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
