SAN JUAN- Ramon Ismael “Smiley” Martinez, 65, passed away, Thursday, June 4, 2026, at San Juan Nursing Home.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ramon and Jesusa Martinez; and a sister, Maria Guadalupe Martinez.
Ramon is survived by his cousins, Maria Elena (Juan) Garza, Juan Homero (Micaela) Ramos, Guadalupe (Imelda) Ramos, Jr., Berta (Juan) Quiroz, Julian Ramos, San Juanita (Marcos) Gonzalez, Rosaura (Carlos) Ortega, Robert (Esmeralda) Ramos, Rebecca (Lorenzo) Martinez, and Sandra (Leroy) Cavazos
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2026, beginning at 5:00 p.m., followed by a rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan, Texas. Funeral service will take place, Monday, June 8, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at St. John The Baptist Catholic Parish. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Cemetery in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
