Imelda Ramirez, 60, went home to our Lord Sunday, July 8, 2018, at McAllen Medical Center.
Imelda was born and lived in Edinburg all of her life. She lived her life to the fullest, and enjoyed caring for her patients and her mother. Imelda fought a long, hard battle and stayed strong until the end. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
Imelda is preceded in death by her father, Leonel Ramirez; and her brother, Felix Ramirez.
She is survived by her mother, Maria Garza; two brothers, Roberto Ramirez, Leonel Ramirez Jr.; three sisters, Thelma (+Martin) Flores, Rachel (Michael) Berner, Annabel Lerma, all of Edinburg; 16 nieces and nephews; and her lifelong friends, Rose (Gaspar) Garcia, Jessica Jane Garcia and Gaspar Garcia Jr.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
