JOSE PEDRO PUGA PHARR – Jose Pedro Puga, 92, died Friday, January 2, 2015, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. Born in Mexico, Mr. Puga had lived in Pharr most of his life. He is preceded in death by his wife, Elvia Garza Puga; parents, Inocencio and Maria Galinda Puga; and two sisters, Isidra Guice and Alicia Garza. Jose is survived by 11 children, Pedro Puga, Jr. of Pharr, Rigoberto (Juanita) Puga of Houston, TX, Jaime (Dalia) Puga of Weslaco, Reyna (Juan) Hernandez of Glenns Ferry, Idaho, Rosalva (Kevin) Tracy of Columbia, KY, Jose Luis (Mary) Puga of Calallen, TX, Blasa (Vicente) Villarreal of Mission, Elvira Puga Silva of Pharr, Leticia Puga (+Eusebio) Martinez of Orange, CA, Noe Puga of McAllen, Yesenia (Jerry) Washington of Huntington Beach, CA; 40 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jose Pilar (Lupita) Puga of Weslaco. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Churhc Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
