EDINBURG – Rosa Maria Puente, 61, died Thursday, April 30, 2009 at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Santa Catarina N.L. Mexico, Mrs. Puente had lived in Edinburg most of her life.
She is preceded in death by twin’s sons; her father, Sabas Garza and one great grandson, Esteban De Leon.
Mrs. Puente is survived by her husband, Rogelio Puente of Edinburg; three sons, Jesus Alberto Puente of Reynosa, Mexico; Juan Antonio Puente of Elsa and Rogelio Puente of Edinburg; five daughters, Leticia Puente Villarreal of Mission, Laura Alicia Saenz Puente of Rio Bravo, Mexico, Isabel Puente of Edinburg, Josefina Puente Feely of Alabama and Sandra Puente Romo of San Juan; 44 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; her mother, Alicia T. Garza of Mexico; four sisters and four brothers.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm prayer service today, May 3, 2009, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be held at 10 am, Monday, May 4, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
