Lenora Acosta Pinalez went to be with the Lord, Saturday March 24th at 11:35 p.m. Born June 26th, 1946 in Hanau, Germany, she arrived in the United States with her parents Angelberto & Anneliese Acosta in 1948. She was the dear wife of Ignacio Pinalez Jr. and beloved mother to Barbara Ann Vega (1968 -2007), Anna Maria Pinalez and Ignacio Pinalez III. Dedicated and loving grandmother to Christopher Anthony Vega and Michael Ignacio Vega.
Lenora was a member of the Abundant Grace Community Church staff for over 30 years. She was often the first smile you saw walking into the office doors or the cheerful voice you heard when calling the church. She loved her role at Abundant Grace and cherished it wholeheartedly. She loved her work and loved knowing she supported the Church and serviced the Lord in her works every day. She loved the Lord, worshiped and served Him wholeheartedly without doubt, all day, every day. Her faith in the Lord was definite, unfailing, and absolute.
Her heart was BIG. She was a beloved friend to many people, young and old, far and wide. Years of serving the Lord allowed her to touch many hearts. As a prayer partner at Abundant Grace she prayed with those hearts troubled, lost and in pain. She gave all her heart when she could, how she could and all she could. As a minister, she practiced the Lords direction with diligence bringing countless souls to the Lord. She brought hearts together and served as officiant to many marriages bringing couples together in the Lords name. She listened and offered counsel to those in need without question or hesitation. She was a true friend and mentor to all. She was made of all the qualities that make up the core of a truly rare soul.
There are many more words to describe Lenora; yet, no words to describe her just exactly. Full of vibrancy and wit, color, style, boldness and heart. Her laughter infectious, her witty words quick, her charm endearing, her fashion vivid, her style bold, her spirit beamed through her eyes and captured you. Lenora isn't someone you describe, she was someone you experienced. She was in a class all her very own, a class no one can ever match. She shined!
Wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, friend.... WE LOVE YOU. God made only one you and we thank God for allowing you to be part of our lives. Our hearts will be heavy for a time, but your memory will be unforgettable. There are no words to describe how much you will be missed. You and all that you are will be in our hearts forever.
She ran the race, she fought the good fight, she kept the faith, she finished her course.
Well done my good and faithful servant! To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Gone now, I am home!
