ADELFA L. OLMEDA
SAN JUAN - Adelfa L. Olmeda, 88, died Friday, October 30, 2009 at her residence in San Juan.
Born in San Juan, Mrs. Olmeda was formerly of Pharr and had lived in San Juan since 1990. She was a member of Iglesia Bautista Monte Calvario in Pharr. Her heart's desire and prayers was that all her children would come to know the Lord Jesus as their Savior. She loved all her family and was loved by all. We will deeply miss her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Napoleon Olmeda; three sons, Francisco Olmeda, Rosendo Olmeda, Elias Olmeda I; a great-granddaughter, Lianna Nicole Olmeda; and a son in-law, Guadalupe Beltran.
Mrs. Olmeda is survived by four sons, Abel (Santos) Olmeda of Amarillo, Texas, Elias (Juanita) Olmeda, Lazaro (Oralia) Olmeda, both of Pharr and Jose Olmeda of Edinburg; two daughters, Eva O. Beltran of Pharr, Josefina Olmeda of San Juan; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Paula Martinez of Baytown, Texas.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service, today, November 1, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Monday, November 2, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
