EDINBURG — Oliverio Cruz, 70, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2026, at South Texas Health System McAllen.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Teodoro and Clementina Cruz; and three brothers, Javier, Abran and Esequiel Cruz.
Oliverio is survived by his four children, Monica Dalinda Cruz, Rhonda Lea Cruz (Daniel III) Mora, Oliverio (Melissa+) Cruz Jr., Belinda April Cruz; seven grandchildren, Rocky Caudillo Jr., Kalinda Mosqueda, Mark Cruz, Evelyn Cruz, Logan Dee Mora, Daniel Mora IV, Kade Mora; four great-grandchildren, Elijah Caudillo, Ellie Caudillo, Brooklyn Cruz, Mateo Mosqueda; and nine siblings, Cipriano Cruz, Eloy Cruz, Benjamin Cruz, Ivan Cruz, Maria Contreras, Nora Guzman, Elodia Gonzalez, Rosalinda Fernandez and Nehemias Cruz.
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 2026, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
